       Kaunas Aviation Plant was established in 1919. DOBI 1 was the first aircraft on which a test flight has been performed in 1922. In the plant built just after the World War I, the first Lithuanian design aircraft under a well-known name ANBO has been manufactured according to world standards. In total, during the period before the World War II, Lithuanian constructors have built 100 aircraft, 70 of them were of Lithuanian design. In 1934, three ANBO 4 made a well-known flight round Europe.

       After the World War II the plant has been expanded and adapted to the needs of overhaul and maintenance of Russian design aircraft and helicopters.

       Nowadays activities of Kaunas Aviation Plant commenced in 1993 after withdrawal of Soviet troops from Lithuania. In 2002, former state owned company was privatized by Helisota Ltd. that became a 100% shareholder of the plant.

       Today, possessing more than 2500 sq.meters hangar type floor space, adjacent 600x60 m runway, and experienced engineers and technicians, we are engaged in the following activities:

  • maintenance and overhaul of light aircraft;
  • fabric aircraft re-covering and restoration;
  • painting of aircraft;
  • interior design and refurbishment;
  • aircraft storage;
  • lease of premises.
